When you arrive at Bangkok international airport just pass the door after avoiding all the taxi touts and just wait for the Suvarnabhumi free shuttle to go from the airport terminal to the airport bus station.

Ride this free shuttle bus for 5 minutes and then arrive at the Suvarnabhumi bus station where you can take a bus to Pattaya, leaving every 30 minutes, the best and cheapest way to go to Pattaya and avoid Bangkok crowded city traffic jam. The price to go to Pattaya is around 200 Thai Baht, a bargain.
