International arrivals have increased at Suvarnabhumi Airport in the four months of the year and totalled 3 413 197, an increase of 2,61 per cent year on year.
This includes only passengers who arrived in Bangkok as a first point of entry and not those who flew directly to other international arrival points in Thailand or who entered the country at border checkpoints, which represent around 30% more passengers.
Usually 30 per cent of visitors do not arrive in Thailand through Bangkok as Thailand count many international airports.
As always most of the visitors to Thailand come from East Asia (1525989), then from Europe (UK, GERMANY, FRANCE, 1114770), South and North America (267965), Oceania (161097), South-East Asia (187526), then the Middle East (124863) and Africa (30987).
